Knitting 101 Class

Ladies,

We have scheduled our first Beginner's knitting class!   

Knitting 101- this 2 part class will teach you the basics.

Part 1:  We will learn to Cast on, the Knit Stitch, Increasing and Reading A   Pattern.

Part 2 we will cover the Purl Stitch, Decreasing and Binding off.

 By the end of this 2 part class, not only will you know the basics, but you will have a dishcloth to use.  You will also take home your knitting needles (a standard size) and the rest of your skein of yarn (needles and yarn provided in class fee) to make another dishcloth!

Cost is $30.  Class will be limited to five people, and payment must be made in advance.

Class times:

Part 1: 

Friday, Feb. 7:   2 p.m. - 4 p.m. or from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.  Choose one.

Sat., Feb. 8:      10 a.m. - noon.

Part 2:

Friday, Feb. 21:   2p.m. - 4 p.m. or from 6p.m. - 8 p.m.  Choose one.

Sat.,  Feb. 22:     10 a.m. to noon.

Help Needed.

O.k., Ladies, I need some help!  I now need some yarn display units.  I am favoring the wicker or rattan shelving units as they are easy to move.  Other options would also be considered.  Anyone have some they'd like to sell?  Keep in mind, I'm going to carry tons of yarn, so the more the better.

CUTE Card idea!

Just had to share this cute lil' card one of my customers made with the adorable Mason Jar stickers we just got in.  Can you just see the possiblities?  (Fill w/mustard seed and have the card say, "Just mustard up the courage to send this",  "You are the salt to my pepper, You are the Spice of my life, Just "Dill" with it", etc.)

Spectrum Noir Re-Filling Station!!!!!

Just got in all of the Spectrum Noir refill inks! We are now officially a re-filling station! Bring your pens in and drop them off to be re-filled! $1 per pen. Woot! (Just put your pens in a Ziploc with your name and phone number on them.)

Wooden Block Class

Ladies,

Time is running out to sign up for the awesome wodden block class.  Sign up deadline will be by close of business Weds., 1-22!  Details below.

We will be completing THREE wooden cubes in this class. We are going to all use the Zip-A-Dee-Doodle line of papers and embellishments from BoBunny (CUTE) in order to keep this class affordable. You can put a letter, number, or punctuation mark on each of the three cubes. FUN! If you can't get what you want spelled out of the three cubes, we will have more available for purchase, as well as supplies to complete them to match! You will leave with THREE adorable, completed wooden blocks! Your block does not have to look anything like mine! We will just be using this paper and embellishment line for you to create your own, unique blocks. We can make the letters out of black or white paper, whichever you prefer.

Classes will be limited to ten people total, or five people in each class. I will not do the class for less than five people in each class. This class will most likely not be offered again, so please make sure you sign up for the two classes as soon as possible if you want to make these. (If we do have an overwhelming demand for these classes, I will consider doing the class again.)

Classes will run $25 and must be paid in advance.

In-Store Crop!

Due to the nagging of one particular customer (tee hee), we will be having an in-store crop!  Woot!

Crop will be on Friday, Feb. 7, from as early as 10 a.m. - 12 midnight.  Cost is $10.  (Free if you purchase $30 or more of product while at the crop.)  Call the store to sign up.

 I will provide some snacks after 5 p.m., and will have water available to purchase.  Feel free to bring other snacks or your own beverages if you'd like (not required).

 (Rumor has it that freebies will occur!)

O.k., Ladies (and Gents), I feel like I've been neglecting my scrapbook/card ladies lately, and with the HUGE temptation of all the gorgeous CHA releases coming out......I did it!  I placed a HUGE order of new papers, paper stacks, paper pads, embellishments, stamps, dies, letters, saying stickers, etc.
