Fun Projects!

Thought I'd post some of the fun stuff I worked on during the crop last night. Left: Fun with glass and alcohol inks. Right: Fun with Sculpey Clay and unfinished wooden frames!

Our next PJ crop is Friday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to midnight, or whichever hours in between that you would like to come. Cost is $10. Bring your stuff and work on it here. You may bring snacks to share, but it is not necessary. Please make sure to call the store prior to Friday so I will be able to set up the appropriate number of tables.

New Class!

Ladies,

We have a new crochet class coming up quickly! Tues. - July 1 - from 6 - 8 p.m. We will be crocheting the "corner to corner" pattern. Cost for the class is $10, and you must purchase your yarn here. If you have an L or J crochet hook, you may bring it, or we can provide one for you to use. (I have these crochet hooks on order, but they won't be here before the class.) You will be able to start any project with yarn colors you choose here. You can do a washcloth, dishcloth, baby blanket, or full sized afghan or blanket! We will get you started and on your way. Also, if you need help at any time during your project, we will help you to be able to complete it. Attached is a photo of the "corner to corner" pattern. Many colors can be blended together as well to make some adorable stuff! You don't want to miss this one. (Also, for those of you that started the pot holders, we will be learning how to complete these tonight as well, so bring them along.)

New "Must Have" tool!

My customers have been ordering and raving about these tools since they were released (not long ago). I am placing a couple more on my next order, but they are already spoken for. If you'd like me to include one for you in my next order, please call the store and let me know. Here is what they are:

With die templates becoming more detailed and intricate, paper often sticks to the die making if difficult to remove. This tool makes it so easy; a brush tool on one end dislodges paper shards and brushes them away while the other end is interchangeable with a piercer or spatula. Whichever tip is not in use can be stored inside the body of the tool. Only $14.99!

Barefoot Sandal Class

Tues. - July 15 - 6 - 7:00 p.m. - $10

Barefoot sandal class. Sandals can be worn with flip-flops, sandals, high heels, ballet flats, or just your bare feet! This class is suitable for adults or children. Moms and daughters can come in together and make matching pairs!

Here is a picture of our first pair. We have some AWESOME beads on the way in for another class coming up soon.

Shadow Box Class

Here is a picture of the ladies that came in for the Shadow Box class today. It was a surprise gift for one of the ladies that was retiring. None of the ladies except the one that set it up with me even knew where they were going today! They drove up from Benton, ate at the Firefly, and then came here to make these shadow boxes. They are going to print the pictures we took of them making the shadow boxes, and put them in

to the shadow boxes when they get home. What an awesome surprise! Thanks for setting this one up, Trina!
